Want to shop German stores and ship to Canada? Here's everything you need to know about getting a German address, Canadian customs and duty rules, and getting your packages home safely.
The Complete Guide to Shipping from Germany to Canada
German stores are known for quality you can trust — precision tools, premium skincare, outdoor gear, and brands that simply don't ship to Canada on their own. Panah Forwarder gives you a real German address so you can shop like a local and have everything forwarded straight to your door, anywhere from Vancouver to Halifax.
How Shipping from Germany to Canada Works
- Get Your Free German Address: Sign up with Panah Forwarder and receive a dedicated address at our German warehouse immediately.
- Shop German Stores: Use your new address at checkout on Amazon.de, Zalando, dm, or any other German retailer.
- We Receive and Check: As soon as your package arrives, we email you — and can photograph the contents so you know exactly what came in.
- Consolidate to Save: Ordering from a few different stores? We combine everything into a single box, which can cut your international shipping cost dramatically.
- Ship to Canada: Pick your courier (DHL, FedEx or UPS) and we'll get your package moving to any Canadian province.
What to Know About Canadian Customs and Duties
Canada treats incoming parcels a little differently than the EU, so it helps to know the basics before you order:
- The CAD $20 Rule: Most gifts and personal shipments valued under CAD $20 can enter Canada duty- and tax-free. Above that, you can expect to pay GST/HST and possibly duty, calculated on the item's value.
- CUSMA/USMCA Exceptions: Certain goods qualifying under trade agreement rules may have reduced or no duty — our team can help you understand what applies to your order.
- Restricted Items: Some goods can't travel by air, including flammable liquids, alcohol-based perfumes and certain battery types. Check with us first if you're unsure.
- Dimensional Weight: A large but light item (like a bulky but empty-feeling box) is often charged by box size rather than actual weight — our repacking service can shrink the box to keep costs down.
